i love that book
that is amazing. beautiful shirt too.
ill have to try that
Thank you, dear!
PS: Your icon is funny. I wish I had pictures of all my... stages (?) so I could make one. Heeheehe.
that is awesome. Ive been fucking looking for something like this all day. I seriously spent like 3 hours looking through t shirt surgery for something I liked at all.
and I LOVEEE this.
so. a question. since there is no gathering at the back, isnt it kinda funny shaped? hows that workin out for you? did you need to modify it further after you made it?
Thanks so much!
It's longer in the back than in the front, but the elastic in the front sort of helps to gather the back. I thought ruching the back might look weird (especially because of the text) so I didn't, but I'm sure you could make it work.
Im considering what Im going to do... I think what I might do is sew the sides gathered to a smaller back. does that make sense? because there is something on the back I want to cut off anyway.
the shirt is from the Vagina Monologues in like 2002 or something, and the front says I <3 my cunt and the back has this big hideous stiff logo. its so stiff it makes wearing the shirt weird sometimes.
and it also says 2002.
and I'd really like to feel like this shirt is wearable again. I totally dislike the back logo, and I'm directing the show this year and would like to wear that at some point durring the performance and not have to get another big akward manly t shirt. ugh.
anyway. I feel inspired now. thank you. very very much.
Absolutely no problem. I'd love it if you'd be sure to post your results!
if I can find the freakin shirt so I can do the freakin project, I totally will! its lost somewhere in my apartment :P
Did you line the elastic in anyway? It seems to me like that would be scratchy <- girl with very sensitive skin.
If you get the braided kind, it isn't scratchy at all. I think you're thinking of the more rubbery kind. The kind I used had polyester on it. I suppose you could always sew a channel before you ruche the shirt, though!
Super cute! I've always wanted ot do that tutorial, but I didn't know how good it would look! It looks fab and so do you in it!
